My paragraph in response to an article by Thomas L. Friedman

In this particular article it talks about China going "green" due to the result of high pollution from coal-and oil-based manufacturing. It states that the people in this country cannot properly breathe, they can't swim, fish, or farm because of this reason. China's focus is on low-cost manufacturing of solar, wind and also batteries. It also states that the assistant secretary of energy thinks that China will pass us in the 21st-century of technology. People in China will die from their own development caused from a high rate of coal-and oil-based manufacturing if they do not address this growing concern. My opinion in this matter is, I think that the world as a whole should get together and we should all go green. I am not a environmentalist but it would preserve our land, air, and water so that we as humans can live a little longer and also the next generation "Our children" will have a safe and healthy planet to live on as well. I have noticed over the past few years that this is a growing concern all over the world and not just in China. If we don't take action as a whole, bad things are bound to happen all over the world. The polar ice cap is melting which is destroying our wildlife in the polar ice cap. The Chinese are very intelligent people and are always excelling at lightning speeds. They say we live and learn by trial and error? We have seen enough error! If going "Green" works for one country? well then why not jump on it ourselves? When it comes down to business it don't matter who's in the lead, this is one world and our only world, lets take care of it.

  1. Wow.... I didn't realize how bad it was in China and the air that they breathe. The fact that its due to themselves and the development over there is scary to me. No swimming? Fishing? or farming? All bad. This shows me that our future is headed in the same direction and we should look at China and do what we can, when we can to make sure this doesn't happen to us over here. It makes me think of my Babies and what their future holds. So in a nutshell- I agree.... Lets go green yo.
